Description
Vanille Riviera is inspired in part by chiaroscuro, an Italian art term that refers to a contrast of light and dark used to create realistic dimension, used by renaissance artists like Caravaggio and Leonardo Da Vinci. In this fragrance, the light of bergamot and bright florals juxtaposes the dark of vanilla bean and cedarwood, creating a balanced yet striking composition.
The nose behind this fragrance, Julie Massé, also drew inspiration from her travels for Vanille Riviera. Informed by a trip to Madagascar (the home of the highest quality vanilla in the world) this fragrance is an ode to the carnal, earthy scent of a freshly harvested vanilla bean.
